PTX Technologies appoints industry veteran Wes Jensen as Non-Executive Chairman to accelerate global growth and digital innovation

PTX Technologies has appointed Wes Jensen as Non-Executive Chairman to guide the company through its next phase of growth. He brings more than three decades across telecoms, data centres, software and digital infrastructure. His appointment strengthens PTX as it turns the assets operators own into revenue-generating products, from idea to revenue.

Career highlights

Most recently, Jensen served as CTO at PacketFabric, where he drove product efficiency and platform evolution. He previously held leadership roles in engineering at organisations including XO (now Verizon Business), Level 3 (now Lumen), and Digital Realty, following early roles at Ameritech and Qwest.

He also co-founded several software ventures, including WANaware, an observability platform spanning performance, availability and security, and 21 Packets, a quantum-safe, obfuscated routing platform. Based in Copenhagen, Jensen most recently co-founded AI1, a European consortium aligning operators, data centres and software firms around sovereign AI infrastructure.

Why PTX and why now?

Jensen joins as customer expectations reset across the industry. Enterprises now want to see, buy and change their digital infrastructure the way they consume the cloud, and the operators that own the underlying assets, across data centres, telcos, fibre, internet exchanges (IX), and cloud and AI infrastructure, are under pressure to keep up. Meeting that is a delivery problem, and Jensen has spent three decades solving it from inside operators. His appointment brings that experience to PTX as more operators turn to it for this work.

“PTX exists to turn ambition into market-ready capabilities. Infrastructure may be static by nature, but digital strategies now demand elastic, software-driven outcomes that many infrastructure providers struggle to deliver. End customers no longer want to wait for aspirational roadmaps; they expect infrastructure they can consume on demand from day one.”

Wes Jensen, Non-Executive Chairman, PTX Technologies

“Wes brings exceptional technical and commercial acumen to PTX, strengthening our ability to deliver real-world software productisation for clients. He will help us standardise where it enhances speed and support, remain flexible to achieve unique customer outcomes, and scale responsibly as demand continues to accelerate.”

PTX’s next stage

PTX is entering its next stage of growth, with demand rising across Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. Over its first three years the company proved the PTX Innovation Lifecycle in production, refining it on real client delivery rather than theory, and it is now investing in capacity and delivery to take on more of the work and more clients at once. Behind that growth are operators who own real assets, data centres, networks, fibre, spare capacity, and need them to earn.

You own the infrastructure. PTX turns it into products that sell.

Operators are expected to deliver infrastructure at software speed. The assets are there and the demand is there, but strong strategies stall without delivery discipline. Three things go wrong: teams build before the idea is validated, they ship products that do not sell, and internal and external teams pull in different directions. PTX is your outsourced product-development team. We close the gap between intent and shipped product, across advice, build and run, from idea to revenue.

Turn assets into revenue, not roadmaps

You own the platforms, the network and the data. PTX builds them into products you can sell: advanced portals and APIs, automated network and cloud platforms, and bespoke enterprise solutions that modernise core operations along the way. We work through the PTX Innovation Lifecycle, from idea to revenue.

Prove it before you commit the capex

PTX joins your team as architects, product leaders and engineers who have built and run these platforms inside operators. We validate the idea, ship a working pilot against clear measures, then scale what earns its place. You commit the spend once the product has shown it sells, not before.

Build platforms that keep earning

An idea that has not been validated is an investment waiting to be written off, and a platform built only for today is the next thing you have to rebuild. PTX designs AI-ready platforms that carry new revenue from the same physical infrastructure without a rebuild each time, with reusable components and commercial packages that open new lines and new markets from what you already own.

“The challenge lies in accessing the right expertise and experience at the right time while maintaining momentum from concept to adoption. PTX bridges that gap by bringing together proven talent with deep industry knowledge to help telecom, data centre, cloud and managed service providers deliver what matters most to their business and customers. We help design, develop and manage advanced portal and API experiences, automated network and cloud infrastructure, and bespoke enterprise solutions that align closely with business objectives and market expectations.”

A human note

Outside work, Jensen is a committed family man who recently relocated to Denmark. Fitness is a daily anchor, balanced with an enduring love of good food. He has also leaned into time in nature to reset and stay curious, a mindset he credits with fuelling long-term creativity and leadership.

About PTX Technologies

PTX Technologies is an outsourced product-development team for digital infrastructure, founded in 2022 by practitioners who built the platforms, products and commercial models inside operators including Digital Realty, Console Connect and ANS. Operators own the assets. PTX turns them into revenue-generating products, across advice, build and run, from idea to revenue.

The work is delivery, not just advice. PTX designs, builds and runs the product blocks operators sell on, and combines them into Network-as-a-Service, Self-Service Infrastructure and Sovereign AI. The method is the PTX Innovation Lifecycle: it validates the idea before anyone builds, then ships the product and runs it.

PTX runs live platforms in production today, working with data centres, telcos, fibre, internet exchanges (IX), cloud and AI infrastructure operators across Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

One team. One methodology. Full accountability from idea to revenue.
